Since its inception, the fund has raised nearly $14 million.
Practices
The Jewish Day School Guaranty Trust Fund allows schools to serve a larger number of students and deliver a more robust educational experience, and it has helped many schools remain open during times of financial uncertainty. The fund is just one way that the Jewish United Fund supports the Jewish education community in Chicago. Each year, the organization provides more than $3 million in additional funding and $60 million in loan guarantees to fund school expansions. It also facilitates professional development opportunities for teachers and administrators and serves as their advocate in the legislative sphere. Additionally, the Jewish United Fund helps local parents access quality early childhood education through its Right Start preschool tuition assistance program.
